Black and White Gala

We spent the first part of our week trying to recover from our nasty last week. I took the kids grocery shopping and walking around the store was so much work that all 4 of them fell asleep on the way home.
That never happens! The babies got to try pizza for the first time. They loved it!
This weekend the Iowa Medical Partners, a group I am a part of, hosted a fund raiser. It was a black and white gala and it was so fun.

My parents flew in to watch the kids so we could go have fun and not worry. It was so nice to get a night out and even more fun to dress up!

Sick on Valentines Day

We are all sick...again! I sound like a broken record but this winter has been bad to us health wise. The kids and I all have the flu! Its horrible!! Rilyn and I have it the worst, probably because we are the only ones who didn't get flu shots this year. Oh well. We've been doing a lot of laying around and sleeping.
The boys and I went to a fun Valentine's playgroup.
Casen made a yummy cookie. Valentine's Day brought lots of hearts.

We had pink heart shaped pancakes for breakfast and heart shaped pizza for dinner. Heart hair for Rilyn and big kisses from Casen. And lots of love note from our family.

Kids

Casen is such a nice big brother. He is nice enough to help his baby brothers up the stairs when mom is trying to get stuff done upstairs.
Funny story about. Casen, this week I was downstairs feeding the babies when he came down with yogurt, a spoon, and a napkin. Usually the kids are not allowed to have any food downstairs so I asked what he was doing. He said he was having a snack so I reminded him of our no food rule to which he responds "but I brought a napkin"! Silly boy.
Rilyns class celebrated their 100th day of school. She loves her teachers and her friends.
Rilyn also decided that running on the treadmill is awesome.
Good way to burn off energy while we're all stuck inside. The twins are getting big. I finally got pictures of their teeth. Brooks has 2 and Brigg has 1.

They also got to play in whipped cream and loved it!
And I restocked my baby food cabinet. Want to see about a months worth of food for twins? Scary huh?

February

Well here we are in February already and still sick and still freezing. The kids got their mailboxes out so they could start getting their valentines. Casen has been practicing writing his name. He is getting pretty good!
We drew an Olaf on the window to help all this snow look not so bad.

This is Brigg's happy face. This is my favorite smile.
